Topography
Nepal has three ecological regions : Mountain, Hill & Terai.
The country has a great variety of topography, which is reflected in the diversity of weather and climate. The country experiences tropical, mesothermal, taiga and tundra type of climate. Highest rainfall recorded so far is 4175 mm. at Pokhara.
Maximum temperature of 43° C was recorded in Surkhet and Nepalgunj. Kathmandu, the maximum temperature ranges between 20° C to 34° C and the minimum temperature ranges between -2° C to 20° C. In Namchebazar, at the base of the Mount Everest, minimum temperature recorded so far is -13° C.
